Here is another of my own poems. The title says it all!
FRUSTRATION
A thousand things I want to say,
But words won't come to voice them.
A million acts I want to do,
But action will not birth them.
A trillion ways I want to love
Yet, hesitant, I falter.
A universe of life out there,
But I'm too old to alter.
'Come on, come on' the voice inside
Bids venture forth and savour,
But tired and weary now - too late,
My life has lost its flavour.
Yet I've met you
And know your strength
And love will soon restore me.
I'll surely go to any length,
With you up there before me.

We have finally met 'the one' who is appearing to be the person we can love forever.
Yet, our shyness and reluctance to speak out how we feel, keeps us tethered and tongue-tied.
Embarrassed, we wait, with the hope that the one we love will speak the words first.
Suddenly, everything fits like a jig-saw. Words come pouring out, the sun goes down and it is impossible to part.
We obey the rules of Love, and Time stops for us, the new Lovers.
Nicely written, Colin, and beautifully spoken.
Thank you.
