    Langstone Hughes was brilliant in his short poems -no padding!
    
    He died in 1967, aged 65, from complications after abdominal surgery related to prostate cancer.

  What an awful ending for such a wonderful man.

    A truly tragic ending - but he wrote beautiful poetry reflecting the intelligent black mentality.
